We are officially stepping out of the outdoors and straight onto the design map.
For the very first time, Fermob is officially part of Saturday Indesign (SID) 2026! On September 12th, Sydney’s design precincts will transform into a buzzing, collective showroom crawl, and we couldn’t think of a better moment to make our debut.
Saturday Indesign has always been about breaking down the walls of standard, transactional trade shows. This year, the event is leaning heavily into a participatory, hands-on format, which aligns perfectly with everything we stand for. For us, outdoor furniture isn’t just about specifying a chair; it’s about creating spaces where people naturally gather, converse, and linger.
Outdoor spaces are inherently democratic and communal. By bringing our signature French design flare, joyful color palettes, and industrial savoir-faire to SID, we are exploring how public, commercial, and residential spaces can be intentionally designed to foster human connection.
On-the-Day Activations: a snip of what to expect.
We aren’t just setting up a static display of our iconic Luxembourg or Bistro collections. Instead, we’re transforming our space into a living, breathing design ecosystem where you can interact, create, and relax. Here is a sneak peek at what we have planned:
The Experience: Drop by our hands-on Color Lab to experiment with paint to create the winning combination for the next Fermob colour, test color pairings, and visually map your prediction.
The Experience: At SID, catering is a form of creative expression. We’re honoring our colour DNA with an installation by the talented “Stories to Gather” focusing on our “fire” colours in an “Art de Vivre”
