Built to last – Aluminium & Steel

Built to last – Aluminium & Steel

In Australian environments, durability is non-negotiable and at Fermob, it’s engineered into every detail and its part of our DNA.

Our name Fermob  is just that –  “le Fer” is for iron (metal)  and Mob is for Mobilier (furniture)

Our use of aluminium and steel ensures exceptional resistance to corrosion, making our collections ideally suited to any outdoor space such as hospitality terraces, rooftop bars, and poolside settings exposed to coastal air or humidity.

Lightweight by nature, aluminium allows for effortless movement and reconfiguration, perfect for dynamic venues where layouts shift throughout the day. Paired with Fermob’s high-performance powder-coating, it delivers long-lasting colour, resilience, and ease of handling without compromising on design.

The Luxembourg Range is a perfect example of this easy of flexibility.

Steel, on the other hand, brings strength and structural integrity to high-traffic environments. Steel can also be treated with an anti-corrosion process. Fermob’s steel furniture is built to withstand intensive use across public spaces, education campuses, and workplace settings. Despite its robustness, our design language ensures a sense of visual lightness—achieved through refined lines, perforations, and signature silhouettes.

The Opera+ range is a perfect example of this.

Fermob furniture is designed to perform beautifully over time, with minimal upkeep. Our sustainable multi-layer powder-coating process, developed specifically for outdoor use offers excellent resistance to UV exposure, moisture, and everyday wear.

Maintenance is simple: a regular clean with soapy water or a non-abrasive solution is all that’s required to keep pieces looking their best.
