Set within the historic fabric of The Mercantile Hotel in The Rocks, the recent redevelopment by Welsh + Major reimagines this iconic 1914 pub as a layered, contemporary hospitality destination. Carefully balancing heritage restoration with new interventions, the design introduces a rooftop terrace, refreshed accommodation, and vibrant dining and bar spaces that celebrate the building’s enduring character.
Within these revitalised outdoor settings, the Fermob Opera+ Chair brings a refined touch—its timeless silhouette and durable steel construction complementing both the historic architecture and the lively, social atmosphere of the venue.
