In the heart of Oettingen’s old town in Bavaria, Hotel Krone reopened in 2025 after a three-year extensive restoration led by the architecture firm Feulner und Häffner, specialists in the renovation of listed historic buildings and the preservation of Bavarian heritage.

The complete renovation of this historic building aimed to achieve several objectives:
• Provide a full, modern hotel experience without compromising the historic character of the buildings
• Create a cohesive identity between interior and exterior spaces
• Optimise the hotel’s professional functionality
• Integrate sustainable solutions suitable for a listed site

Hans-Heinrich Häffner, from Feulner und Häffner, explains  “Fermob was chosen for the durability of its materials, the quality of its craftsmanship, and the many available colour combinations.
